When Iman & Johnny first got in touch to see if I was available for their London wedding, they told me they were looking somebody to create images that were stylish, relaxed and elegant.
Iman & Johnny's married at London Central Mosque, joined by their closest family and friends - including Iman's parents who had flown in for the wedding. They were clearly so grateful to have been in attendance, as were their guests, who had travelled from far and wide to join Iman and Johnny.
After their heartfelt ceremony, everybody travelled the short distance to Asia House for the wedding breakfast, where Iman & Johnny were joined by more of their friends who, due to covid restrictions, weren't able to attend the ceremony. I jumped in the taxi with Iman & Johnny and their guests of honour and love some of the images we captured in the classic London taxi.
Asia House is a beautiful Georgian town house - I always love weddings in these softs of venues because they are so ornate and often have wonderfully large windows (no matter how good modern flashes are, nothing beats a big window). Before they were welcomed by their guests, Iman & Johnny decided to have a few moments alone to enjoy being married, and I love some of the images we were able to capture during here. After they wedding breakfast and cake cutting, we snuck outside to capture a few more portraits.
I always recommend having two shorter couples portrait session of your wedding day. When time allows, I love to schedule a couple of shorter portrait sessions, and time and again couples have told me that this made capturing the couples portraits a really enjoyable part of their day.
