When I heard that Berkshire had a new wedding venue dubbed by Vogue as the "hottest new hotel", I couldn't wait to check it out.
Their official opening coinciding with the Queen's platinum jubilee celebrations felt like the perfect opportunity to head down to and see what it was all about.
The Retreat at Elcot Park is a recently re-opened 18th century country house in the heart of Berkshire. Despite being easily accessible, it feels like a your own private country set in the rolling Berkshire hills. The first thing that got me was the views - nothing but beautiful countryside for miles. The grounds to the south of the house felt like the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony in the summer. The inside was equally beautiful and well thought-out and the sage green wallpaper was a real favourite of mine.
Despite being there to celebrate the opening with friends, I couldn't resist taking a camera and capturing a few moments over the course of the evening. I'm excited to see more of this venue in the coming months and years!
