Villa Cipressi is probably one of Lake Como's best known wedding venues, and it's situated in my favourite town on the lake, Varenna.
When planning to travel out to Lake Como for M&H's wedding in May, we decided to head out a few days early to visit some of the many beautiful venues the lake has to offer, and the team at Hotel Villa Cipressi were kind enough to invite me to visit first thing in the morning, before their grounds opened to the public or preparations for the day's wedding began.
The Villa is probably best known for its botanic gardens, which are a beautiful oasis to explore.
I hope you enjoy my wedding day highlights, and more of the images I captured whilst exploring this tranquil spot on the lake.
Your Waterfront Ceremony
Framed by the trees, the lake makes the perfect backdrop for an intimate ceremony
There are so many locations to explore during your couples portraits (and maybe a few portraits before your welcome event too)
Dinner on the Terrace
Why not dine under the stars, overlooking the lake, on Villa Cipressi's terrace
Depart in style
Rather than jumping in a car, why not jet off over the water by boat or even sea plane
Wander through the streets of Varenna
Varenna itself is a beautiful town, and well worth spending an afternoon exploring. While you're there, it's well worth grabbing a coffee and some gelato from La Passerella.
